SCHOOL DAYS: K to 12

The exhibit features one-half of the large composite graduation pictures from 1891 to 1959. The other half of the pictures will be used mid-summer.  Graduation, prom, band and choral memorabilia are also displayed. A 1902 graduation dress, ring and diploma belonging to Fern Chapman are featured along with prom, band, Madrigal and track outfits.

The center room is set up as an elementary classroom with early desks, chalkboard, slates, inkwells and books. An 1894 desk with chalkboard top used by William Wallace, and a 1911 eight-grade graduation dress worn by Emily Wallace can be seen.

The kitchen area contains lunchroom memorabilia including pictures of longtime food service personnel Iva Russell, Pauline Ainsworth, Jennie Tasker and Helen White. A variety of lunch pails, a soup pot and early water dispenser round out of display.

The back porch area is set up as a coatroom with early hand washing and water drinking equipment including a pitcher pump.
